Desert Delight
Tuesday, April 03, 2012So, Ari and I did end up taking our weekend Qatar trip, although a week later than expected it was all worth while as I got to ride my camel! I've never seen a camel up close before so it came to my surprise that they were such enormous animals.

The afternoon continued with some extreme sand duning which made me squeal and grip onto the door handles so tight, we stopped for pictures at the inland sea, apparently it is only one of two places in the world where the desert meets the sea. There was sand for as far as the eye could see then on the other side beautiful deep blue ocean.

We ended up at their base camp, where Ari and I ventured out for a dip in the ocean (so cold) followed by an Arabian dinner and then it was time to venture on home.
