Out & About in Abu Dhabi

Back in Abu Dhabi, I did a few cool things besides shopping while Ari was working. One was a photography exhibition at Manarat Al Saadiyat museum. The highlight was taking a huge picture of my face in the name of art, more terrifying than the size of my head is the fact that I waived the copyright to that photo for 75 years!

The artist specialises in photo graffiti, putting these images on buildings so perhaps coming to a space near you will be my face! lol Check out http://www.insideoutproject.net/#!

I also got to walk around the Yas Marina F1 circuit which was pretty cool. They open the track weekly for cyclist and runners during non racing periods. There's a massive hotel and marina smack bang in the middle of it, very extravagant. Although it's only a 5.5km track next time I'd definitely hire a bike.

And we managed to squeeze in nine holes of golf at Yas Links. I didn't do too bad but I sure do think golfing is for people with terrible dress sense. Ari wore a cuffed work shirt with swimming shorts and runners which I thought looked hilarious lol only to find that we all had to be in a collar and no denim (even the ladies) and they made me go and change! Ari's colleague lent me a shirt so that I could look ridiculous playing golf in a huge shirt under a dress with tights and runners... Go figure!

Ari & Linda looking terrible but playing ok golf.

Also, the people are just so friendly in Abu Dhabi. During my short stay there I managed to get two lifts from security guards because the shuttle bus was slow and shared a cab with a lady into the city, hardly any stranger danger! The very best thing though is laying by the pool knocking back cocktails while getting some gorgeous sun, can't beat that :)
